Future generations will have an advantage that we never had. They will know the negative effects certain foods have on our bodies and can avoid those foods. We owe it to our children and our children's children to learn as much as we can about the effects of horrible additives and preservatives have on our bodies. In less than one generation, we could lower the number of cases of diabetes and reduce obesity just by understanding that foods like high-fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils and artificial sweeteners alter our body's chemistry and even tell our bodies that we're still hungry, while other foods give our bodies energy and fuel while allowing us to feel satiated and nurtured. It is tough getting kids to eat healthy foods, but educating them as we go along will improve their eating habits down the road. And fundamentally we can offer a healthier future for all of us by getting rid of these horrible chemicals we have been calling food for decades.
